Hello all Again...This time from Lautenbrunnen, in Switzerland.
Been too busy to post, so we missed Dijon. It was too fun, with a biked countryside wine tour day.
Switzerland is the most amazing place. Huge mountains, Crystal Blue rivers, Waterfalls, Rolling lush green hills, Cows with Bells, Europeans with hiking boots and trekking poles .... and the list goes on.
The last two days were spent walking, hiking and more walking. Feels like over 50 km in two days. The views here can't be beat. The mountain air is crisp. Even the tap water is delicious.

Here are some photos to prove it.

This is looking down the Lauterbrunnen Valley, from a mountain village called Gimmelwald. We had to walk for 1.5 hours down the valley trail, take a tram up to get this view. Amazing little place, with only agriculture around. Cows with Bells.

This is in the town of Lautenbrunnen, where we are staying. It is in the valley, with amazing green hillsides everywhere.

This is in the mountain town of Grindelwald. It is a half hour train ride from Lautenbrunnen. This is a huge canyon, with a sketchy trail hanging off the side of the rocks.

This is the view from Grindelwald, looking towards Jaungfrau Peak. Again, nothing short of amazing.

This is along the Lautenbrunnen valley trail. The river water is crystal blue and is really cold, from the glacier runoff.

During our walk from Grindelwald to the Canyon walk, we encountered a shepard and his sheep, walking down the middle of the road.
Note the traffic jam behind them. Typical Switzerland.

A view from inside the Canyon looking up towards the sky.

Mountain Man Mike, with the Peaks of Switzerland in behind.

This is our last night in Switzerland. Tomorrow we are off to Italy. Cinque Terre first, then Venice.
We have been travelling Europe via many train rides. The train systems here are very good. You can get anywhere. The internet here in Switzerland is about 10 franks which is equal to 10 dollars an hour, hense the reason we are not posting as many times as we did in Thailand.
Europe is VERY expensive. But if we wish to live a little and see alot....we must go into debt to do so...right? But weƤve been sharing bathrooms and showers to lower the price of our stays. Just making sure to wipe the toilet seat and wear thongs in the showers and were doing just fine. No crazy toilet bowl diseases or foot scum...except for Mikes stinky feet. Anyways we`ll post a few more times when in Italy.
Love Mike and Darcie or Darcie and Mike.
PS Syd..the plane lands 1215 Thursday afternoon...so be there around 1pm and that should be good. Thanks again.

Hi! After many attempts at writting we finally had to set up a new password so we could get our blogging to work. Guess it likes a certain password (which we must have forgotten) so here we go again. Glad you arrived safely and you are having a great time. Europe looks amazing and so much fun.. you both are so lucky to be able to travel and experience such wonders. Love your pictures. Keep having a wonderful time (Italy will be one of the countries we like to see so get some great ideas for us). Keep safe and love you both

For a second there I thought you were saying you had to wear a THONG in the shower...eww...people don't need to know how M & D rock out! That's just wrong! Then I saw the S at the end! As in footwear! Phew!
Every single picture makes me want to sing the Hills are alive...with the sounds of music! Phra la la la!
Looks like you are having a moderately enjoyable time together! Not doing or seeing too much that's good.
Yepp...just jealous...not gonna lie!
Hey I made a smokin' dinner and dessert last night. Don't be mad...we found other friends to come over and hang out with us.
I was bored...waiting around.
Hey...only like 31 more days till you have to pack up and move!
